AOS Overview

The Always-On Server (AOS) directly replaces existing public X.25, Frame Relay, and leased line networks and supports both traditional and IP access. Using the AOS, service providers can reduce operational costs by eliminating legacy networks and still maintain legacy revenues without disrupting customer service. The AOS is built on state-of-the-art server technology and provides a modern flexible architecture that enables low-cost service delivery with minimal operational resources.

With the AOS, you can:

  • Reduce operational costs
  • Sustain legacy revenues
  • Eliminate the complexities of maintaining a separate legacy network
  • Retain existing customer configurations, applications, and equipment
  • Retain high-value legacy customers that value and pay for SLAs
