Telecommunications Software Engineers - Entry level (2)

Job Description

The successful candidates will work in an R&D environment and be part of a team responsible for development of Virtual Access management systems.

Design and implementation of:

• Network protocols
• Network applications
• Test applications
• Preparation of requirements specifications, designs and test schedules.
• Technology research

• Ability to implement high quality, reliable, and maintainable code
• Strong C and C++ programming skills
• Software design, analysis and diagnostics skills
• Communications ability (both verbal and written)
• Analytical skills/problem solving ability

Understanding of LAN / WAN Protocols associated with:

• TCP / IP
• Firewalls
• VoIP
• Virtual Private Networks
• ADSL / ATM
• Network monitoring tools

Required qualifications:
A degree level qualification in Computer Science or related subject.

  Skills:
  

• Ability to implement high quality, reliable, and maintainable code
• Strong C#, Java, ASP, SQL, Javascript skills
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to operate in a rapidly changing environment.
• Good software design, analysis and diagnostics skills
• Excellent communications ability (both verbal and written)
• Product/customer focus
• Good understanding of:
  • .NET
  • XML, XSLT, XML schema
  • Installshield
  • COM
  • MS services programming
  • Relational databases
  • Windows programming
  • VPN/Network configuration
