Bonn, 30th September 2009 – I.T.E.N.O.S., ICT specialist from Bonn, Germany, and Virtual Access, Dublin, supplier of NGN migration solutions have signed a contract on the delivery of hardware and software for the new Datex-P platform of I.T.E.N.O.S. In the second half of 2010, the platform will substitute the legacy Datex-P network of Deutsche Telekom.
Virtual Access will deliver the new platform which is comprised of the AOS (Always On Server), Service Managed Gateway (SMG) and Activator “Zero Touch” provisioning server. Virtual Access migration systems enable the continuation of services after the shut-down of legacy networks without requiring the users to upgrade or replace their equipment. The solution can operate over an IP or legacy core network.
With the new platform, I.T.E.N.O.S. will continue to offer its customers with Datex-P network access reliable and cost-effective security solutions and investment protection. Thus, the continuation of Datex-P services will be secured.
