Virtual Access Launch New Dublin Manufacturing Facility

Dublin, June 1st 2010. Virtual Access is proud to announce the launch of their new manufacturing facility in Dublin.

Virtual Access has been producing and shipping telecommunications equipment to customers worldwide since 1996. Manufacturing and production had been outsourced to a company in the UK. Recently, economic trends have dictated that companies outsource manufacturing to the East, but Virtual Access has bucked that trend by returning their manufacturing facilities to Ireland.

Having made the decision to invest in the new Irish venture, Virtual Access identified a suitable unit, and set up a purpose-built manufacturing facility. Relocation of stock and the refurbishment of the unit meant hiring new staff for the phase duration. Further staff have been employed to build equipment, organise customer orders and shipping.

Henry Brankin, Managing Director, says, “The benefit to our customers and also our business is that we have direct control over product quality, and timeliness of delivery. We work closely with a national delivery company to ensure we meet order deadlines.”

On May 22nd the first shipment of 150 GW7000 routers left Dublin bound for Sweden. Henry Brankin continues, “This is an important day for us. It really has been a team effort, from the initial decision, through the relocation, and now the first shipment. I expect our manufacturing facility to play a key role in the delivery of top quality products and services that are essential to meeting our plans for growth of the company.

Virtual Access currently exports products to Japan, Australia, Mexico, South Africa and most European countries.
