End-User Applications

X.25, ISDN, leased line, and Frame Relay networks are being phased out by operators worldwide. Users of these networks include utilities companies, financial institutions, lottery, security companies and traffic organisations. Operators and equipment manufacturers plan to discontinue support for these legacy networks to focus on IP. However, many users find it difficult to upgrade or replace their equipment to support IP. Virtual Access NGN migration products solve this problem by allowing operators to turn off legacy networks without requiring the user to upgrade or replace their equipment.

The solution consists of three components:

  1. The Service Managed Gateway which is based in the customer's premises and emulates the legacy network interface
  2. Activator management system, and the Always-On Server, which is located in the central office for network aggregation
  3. The three components are unified by the Virtual Access Zero Touch technology which is proven to reduce deployment and operational costs.
