Many transport authorities control their traffic signals and variable message signs over legacy networks often using proprietary protocols.The customer needs to move to IP and add services such as measuring air quality, video, or recording fire engines passing at the traffic light locations.
Our Solution
Virtual Access offers a solution that allows operators to migrate the traffic systems from the legacy networks to IP without replacing the existing equipment. SMG provides analog leased line interface meaning there is no equipment change required as they move to IP. This means that operators can turn off older networks such as analog leased lines and the traffic authority gets the benefit of a fully supported IP-based network for the future.
