Our Frame Relay NGN solution allows you to migrate your ISDN or leased line Frame Relay services to broadband IP infrastructure without affecting your existing Frame Relay customers.
The solution requires a Service Managed Gateway (SMG) at the customer site and an Always-on Server (AOS) connected to the existing network. The SMG provides Ethernet and an interface that simulates the existing legacy network termination. The SMG receives traffic from the user terminal equipment and encapsulates the legacy packets in IP for transport over the IP/DSL network. The AOS terminates the IP traffic that is received from the SMG, removes the IP encapsulation, and forwards the legacy packets to the endpoint.
